You have a few things working against you.
1) Mardi Gras is no longer the "cheap" time to go. It's a great time to go if you like constantly seeing LSU and Saints t-shirts in the parks. But the parks are pretty crowded during Mardi Gras now.
2) Prices have gone up with the additions to the parks such as Toy Story Land and Star Ward Land. Also, a ton of work done on new roads and highways, someone has to pay for that.
3) Pop is charging a premium right now, compared to other values, because of the gondola.
4) Park hopper is really getting expensive, especially for shorter trips.
