Flying back from Jacksonville from a wedding to Houston.

Plane has issues on the tarmac. A good hour and a half of work gets the thing off the ground.

Somewhere over the waters of the Achafatalya (sp) Basin, smoke starts pouring out of the air ducts and the plane goes into what feels like a boss dive. People start barfing everywhere, crying, screaming, stewardess looks scared shitless.

Pilot gets us steady and gets us down in Lafayette asap. Fire trucks all kind shite out there, we have to slide down the little inflatable thing.

It's insane. The airline, Delta, is clueless and has us sitting in Lafayette for three hours before even saying a word to us.

I haven't flown since and probably won't. I drive. I have the time.
