You ever had a job that you felt was fine but then you made a lateral move to another company and realized how bad the other place was? Comparable salary/benefits/hours but the functional infrastructure and culture in the new place improved your whole quality of life you didn't realize you were missing out on in the old place. You also realize how much more you can do or be when you no longer have to compensate or create work arounds to just do your job or simply not accept the bull because that is how things were.

I don't fault people for staying in Louisiana for whatever reason but when dysfunction is your normal, you don't realize how bad it really is.
