To me it isn't about taking away your guns, it's about limiting the types of guns you have access to. If you need an AK-47 to protect your home, you need to practice your shot. You're not hunting with it either, so why do you want to have the ability to buy an AK-47? How many here actually own one?

Who are you to tell me what I can and can’t use to defend myself? Taking my AK away doesn’t stop some gang banger or maniac to obtain one. People think that just because it’s illegal, it’s hard to get. That is so far from true. Drugs have been illegal for a long time. It takes zero effort to buy drugs. Same thing will happen to guns. The difference is people who used to own guns legally will be forced to surrender them while criminals just won’t give a frick.

I guess we lead different lives. I don't worry about gang bangers and "bad guys" coming to my house. If they do, we have 3 shotguns at our disposal for protection. If you want an AK-47 because you're afraid Jose from MS13 is gonna barge through your door, perhaps you should consider moving.
