What is the analog to the murder in this case?

Why is everyone taking it a face value that Trump asked his personal attorney of all people to fire Mueller? Does anyone truly believe that makes sense?

Wouldn't it make more sense that Trump asked for legal guidance on the subject, in the context of Trump firing Mueller?
