Houston is a fun city. I always enjoy my time there . I've just never come across anything that I have to go to Houston to do. Like no one says "Bruh you have to go do______ in Houston."

Houston is a great place to live and work but it’s not a destination city...I have to agree, generally, that it’s not a cultural capital but it’s got a robust museum and theatre culture as well as a growing restaurant scene...you just have to drive all over town.

Let's review.

Houston has one of the country's top theater districts, world-renowned museums, the best medical district in the world, a top-notch zoo and one of the country's finest universities.

Did I miss anything? Oh yeah, we don't puke in the street or speak Yat.

If you define culture as "expensive things for rich people" then yes it's the capital of the south. You can spend a lot of money on nice things in the theater and museum districts.

Most people define culture as "uniqueness". What is unique about Houston?

San Antonio and Fort Worth are unique and have a culture.

By the way this isn't a knock on Houston. By being generic they can focus 100 percent on being a leading business city.
