Ive never been to Alaska but driving the Alcan Highway has been near the top of my List (hate the term bucket list) for several years now.. 1400 miles starting at Dawson Creek Canada, all the way to Fairbanks.. supposed to be some of the most beautiful scenery on the planet.. Now, if i can just find a spare month to make the drive from Texas and back...

Take more if you can. I was thinking about doing it several years ago and mentioned it to my dad. He told me "I always wanted to do that, but now I'm too old". That clinched it, we took the summer off, and it's 3 months I wouldn't trade for anything.
