First off I'm not pretending to know the geography and natural runoff in that area, and I'm not saying anyone is right or wrong.
But it is Ourso's job to take care of the residents in his parish, and I cant fault him for doing what he's doing.
This will eventually be settled in the courts. But I know Mitch will fight this as far as he can.
Fyi I'm an EBR resident

He can go to hell with his “screw the tens of thousands to save a few” attitude. All this shite about “my people.” Shut the frick up.
We are all people. No one wants to get flooded. All this keep EBR water in EBR is some of the most ridiculous nonsense I’ve ever heard. It’s water. Is he putting up aqua dams around the perimeters of his parish where the water drains out to keep the Iberville water in Iberville? No? Didn’t think so..

If they remain and there is flooding, Iberville will pay to rebuild the EBR homes that flood.
