But schmo like usual? 5 of the past 8 winners were pros already. And Ryan Riess went on to become a really good player. Made a sick hero call at an EPT final table this year that shows you how tough the game really is now.

A “pro” can be anyone that plays for a living. Whether they’re a good player or not.
I like the old school players myself, and most fans are familiar with them.

The standard between elite player and pro is very wide. Maybe “Schmo” was a harsh term but I’d take the field. When one elite guy gets knocked out, you move on to the next one. None of them will win.
