Hell the .300 blackout that my kids hunt with is absolutely devastating within 150 yds. It’s a .223 case necked up to accept .30 caliber projectiles for the non gun savy in here. Moving only 2250 FPS at the muzzle the solid copper ballistic tipped round did a complete pass through on a 250lb boar. Shattering both shoulders and turning everything in between to jelly. Guns are tools and each was created for a specific role. To state that the .223 is a magic killing machine is laughable.

It is NOT a .223 case necked up. It is a .223 case trimmed down (0.400") and necked down.
.223 on the left with a necked down .300 blackout on the right.
