Agreed. Better round and more reliable.
If I were in a live or die situation, and had a choice between an AR or AK, I'd take the AK everytime. Not that the AR is bad, the AK is just better if your goal is to live to tell the tale.

Round preference is debatable. But just like you, if I were going to grab one gun to run to a battlefield with between AR or AK... it's going to be the AK.
Big reason is that I feel the AK is a more reliable platform that requires less battlefield maintenance.
