I'm just saying what I've seen he doesn't look accurate to me. He's shown flashes of accuracy as you said but he's not consistent with it. That's something that never gets fixed. Can you name a QB recently who was incredibly inconsistent where one minute he'd rope it and then the next minute throw a failmary 15 yards over their head where he all of a sudden just blew up in accuracy in his career?

He kinda reminds me of someone with an NFL career like Donnovan Mcnab. Solid career and good football player but he was frustrating his entire career. He'd rope the ball in there one second then throw 10 yards or short hop it the next. He's also a good example of someone who improved with accuracy in his career but he never was "accurate". Finley will get better with accuracy due to things like footwork but he'l never be considered "accurate". To be fair, he doesn't necessarily need to be that either to be very good in college.

There's too many things involved with accuracy that can only be coached so far. There's a big mental aspect to that that, IMO, is nearly impossible to coach up. Some QBs just process information at an insane rate and those are usually what separates great ones from okay ones. You can see immediately if a guy has the mental capacity to be a great one at QB when he has natural pocket presence, anticipates routes well, makes reads fast, has that it factor clutch gene, etc.

I know when I first saw Mahomes play in college I knew that guy was going to be a great one you could see all the physical and mental gifts he had. Finley has his own gifts in athleticism but I don't know if he'll ever get the mental aspect down which obviously, is always their biggest hurdle.
