Never said Gaye was a 4 star recruit. The size comparison was exactly the one I made. They have very similar frames and athleticism, which is why I believe the coaches offered.
Brockers took three years to develop into the player he was. Gaye doesn't even have 3 years to develop.

What do you mean by this? LSU will be hurting for DL in 2020. If anything we should be looking harder at JUCO.
I mean exactly what I said. Bringing in a Juco transfer with 2 years of eligibility who's never even produced at that level is no different than bringing in 3* project player.
You're acting like Gaye is going to come in, start day 1 and be productive. There's literally nothing that backs this. He's been a mediocre Juco player.
It's more likely he was offered as a depth and backup option if they miss on their other targets.

If we land Roy and Guillory, I think Gaye is the one that gets pushed out. I see everyone saying Berry will be asked to explore other options, but to me, Gaye is the prime choice. He only has two years to play and him being raw is an understatement. Berry flashes when you watch his film and it will help our recruiting in Cali.

Given various comments surrounding his offer and commitment, I think this is exactly what the coaches expect from him. He's been called a physical specimen who is developing every day, with another year before he reports, not a guy who will take three years from the time he steps on campus to be ready. They expect him to perform this year in JUCO and be a highly sought after prospect. Maybe they don't like what they see in the fall and pull his offer, wouldn't shock me, but as of right now they are looking at him as an immediate impact guy. If you disagree with that, fine.
