We were told day one that you had one job to do...sacrifice yourself in a time of need for the continuation of a free America (in the event that the freedom enjoyed by all came under attack). Yes we volunteered, yes there are benefits. I am no hero, but...at least to me, those that made the ultimate sacrifice are. If you want to argue that our American service personel lost their lives needlessly in battles that should have never been fought in the first place, then I will support your stance. Disparaging the memories of those who died, seemingly in an attempt to create a false equivalency between Pride month and Veterans/Memorial Day, is something that makes no sense to me.
