Tubman "lived" in Beaufort about like Sherman "lived" in Atlanta.
Beaufort was in Union hands the entire war. Tubman arrived there quite briefly on one occasion to deposit slaves and materials which her raiding party collected in the area. The significant element was her raid of nearby plantations itself, not her living in Beaufort.
