I’ve read the Bible more than most and understand the principles but lord if you need church to understand the Bible you are part of the problem.

No, people who embrace and teach
that attitude are. You're very much mistaken on a critical principle.
Hebrews 10:24-25
quote:

Who in their right mind needs the church of today to live a life worth living.

Christians.

Christ's Church is a fellowship, a community of Jesus's disciples corporately meeting to worship Him and receive, participate, experience, and share in the love of God and the grace received participating in the Sacraments, particularly the Sacrament of Communion.

The it's just me and Jesus idea is antithetical to the very nature of the Church.

It breeds and reinforces a self-centered focus on the individual that is inimical to the core of sound, orthodox ecclesiology, that is the understanding that the Church is Christ's Body here on earth, a collection of Jesus's disciples, submitted to his Lordship and entrusted to extend the boundaries God's Kingdom outpost here on Earth by selflessly serving and loving both his Church and those not yet part of it.

Without doubt, the Church is doing this imperfectly but it's no reason or excuse to abandon Jesus's Church and his people further fragmenting it and weakening them.

Ceasing attending Church and isolating oneself is analogous to a
B-17 pulling out of formation in hostile airspace removing itself from the defense of the other bombers' overlapping fields of supporting machine guns. Enemy fighters will swarm it and shoot it to pieces.

No offense intended, nevertheless, if you think there's something in your Bible that supports or encourages a selfish, self-centered it's just me and Jesus theology, I think you're mistaken.
