Many things can cause a country to fail . It usually isn't the collective will of it's people. Its typically authoritarian despots that have made iron rules on restricting economic activity and social mobility for the benefit of the upper classes. So your blaming the wrong people.


Also, I find it strange that people who live in states that, were they to become their own nation, would quickly be considered 3rd world. The only difference between us and them is that being part of the United States means you get substantial federal funding.
