This. IPA’s are usually nothing but massive bitter bombs with some citrus juice in there. Sours are sometimes decent. Good Belgians, hefeveisens, and imperials, ales, and porters with just the right balance of dryness, sweetness, and bitterness are extremely hard to find.

While i do like some IPAs and Sours, i will admit that hipster douchbags have ruined IPAs pushing ridiculous AA levels making them damn near undrinkable. It's like the damn hot sauce that pushes the scoville unit levels to melting your face, no point in it.
you have to actually go to the tap rooms to get decent offerings of other beers. But i'm in WA now and they have a lot to offer on the shelf besides IPAs and sours. I'm partial to Rye's and you can't find them anywhere.
