But that wasn't the point. As Karl said, he was fricking multitudes of other people in the game, but it wasn't the same as it was with Danny. Danny wasn't going on there just banging randoms for the sake of it, it was all based on his relationship with Karl.

It's still unclear exactly what the message was. Was it that they were gay? No. Was it that VR sex in and of itself is addicting? No. It seemed like some muddied message about friendship and abandoning it for another relationship/phase of life, maybe?
