Like I mentioned in the thread I started, I think the article title is misleading.
We don't know who McMenamin spoke to over the past few months are or whether they are even still with the team. And while I found Griffin's comments interesting, there doesn't seem to be any actual inside info that he values Ingram more than other assets being offered in other trades

McMenamin was on the LeBron beat in Cleveland and wrote a book about it with Windhorst.
I would be willing to bet a hefty sum he has a relationship with Griffin and that Griffin is a, if not the, source.
Does that mean this story isn't designed to manipulate bidders? Of course not. But the Pelicans have a guy on good terms with many prominent national writers. This ain't the Silent Dell era
