Not decided whether I agree or disagree, but since the Bonnet Carre opening we have had 149 dead dolphins wash up on the beach along with 88 Ridley Kemp Sea Turtles (endangered). Even if you don’t care about wildlife, this is hurting Tourism. Walking your kids on the beach and seeing these dead stinking creatures isn’t good. And as for the oysters and shrimp, that affects a lot of human income here. NS is not trying to be shitty, but trying to find a compromise.
