Tried telling the “experts” this girl was good but LSU had faced many pitchers this season better than her and I got bombarded with she’s top 5 in the country etc.....
First WS game against UCLA she allowed 7 runs on 8 hits with 6 walks and 6 SO.
Second game against Washington in elimination game she allowed 7 hits and 3 runs in just 3.2 innings.
UCLA and Washington are very good teams but a top 5 pitcher doesn’t allow that many hits and runs against any team.

She looks pretty damn good to me. I'm not sure how good of a pitcher she is though.

My thoughts exactly.
There was a lot of consoling LSU's uninspired performance in the Supers by making her out to be Boudica in cleats.
I didn't see a damn thing special about her, numbers be damned.

Won’t be long before the softball apologists will be along to white knight

Tell the truth. You said there was 6 in SEC better than her and included a pitcher who got bombarded just the same in a 2 and BBQ effort in regionals.
ETA: Barnhill was obviously one of the other 6 and she is gonna go 2 and Q and couldn't get out of the 1st inning with her career on the line.

I'm neutral on your point but gave you an upvote for the 'Boudica in cleats' turn of the tongue.

Do you feel better now that a girl that was lights out in the regionals and supers, at home, wasn’t able to dominate the best teams in the country in the World Series?

Run rule style. Bama destroying everything they throw up there.
I thought coming in OU and Bama were two best teams in country.

Man o Man...What could have been had Patrick Murphy and Alyson Habetz actually stayed committed to leaving Bama Softball and coaching the Lady Tigers !!! We would have already won at least 2-3 NCAA WCWS National Championships and played in the WCWS every year !!! We need an all business attitude coaching staff, not a players coaching staff. Nice is nice, but nice don’t cut it in the all business world of coaching and winning championships...

They don't do that at Bama so they wouldn't have here

Bama just hung 11 on Barnhill. You think she’s no good too?

My whole point behind my saying we’ve faced better pitching than her this year is because I didn’t see anything exactly special about her but I did see a very slumping LSU team make her look better than she should have looked. LSU has no business losing to Minnesota, bottom line.

How come LSU/Beth can't get bigtime pitchers ? Alabama and Florida always have better ones than us.
