Thanks for the recs. I'll give them all a try. I bought a couple pairs of smart wool on sale but they don't stay up on my legs. The bunch down in the bottom of my boots.

I wear the low crew socks and I don't have that trouble with them. My steel toes are pretty short boots, though.

You need to get higher ones. I have the same problem with thinner Smartwool socks, but I also have a bunch of Darn Tough socks too
