A lot of elite athletes have an entitlement issue, you know because grown men make up messaging boards that rant and rave about how awesome they are, and people all around them that want something from them tell them how awesome they are.

If you're young that can give you the feeling that you can get away with anything. Some get lost in the sauce so to speak. It takes a special quality not to get sidetracked.

Agree with all of this except the last sentence. Even most of the entitled ones get their act together. But being both entitled and an idiot results in a waste of talent.
