I agree with the first part of your post.
Not a Dan fan and always thought the BB funeral was lame and didn’t amount to much.
The second part I kind of disagree just because that cast was at least entertaining to watch and somewhat likable.
This cast has zero charisma and I just can’t stand watching any of them. Seriously can’t find a single one to root for.

She was a good character. I won’t argue she was a good player because she got blindsided both seasons she played. Brigade telling her about their alliance was brutal.
This season is awful characters and terrible gameplay (see them determined to keep Christie safe week after week).

Yeah, like Tiger Voodoo said, at least some of them were entertaining. I was just going by gameplay. Letting Dan get to the end is way worse than these idiots letting Christie stay in the game.
Also, when it comes to being entertaining, if you take Jenn, Joe, Danielle, and Shane, and put them with the current season, does it really change anything? It wasn’t like Dan was full of charisma either. But I agree that anything beats this current group on entertainment and gameplay.
I always thought this was the best alliance strategy in the history of the show. I don’t understand why people don’t try and replicate this strategy.

Those types haven’t won in a while but some that are willing to do whatever it takes gets them further. The logic is he’d rather be at final 2 winning 50K or whatever it is than nothing at 6th. If Jackson pulls this off that would be a very impressive run of wins the past few weeks.
