those were very enjoyable moments. What made them even sweeter was having to endure getting walked off.
1987 CWS
This one hurt.

I was too young for the 1991 and 1993 championships but I always watched the highlights.
The 1996 championship game was the first LSU baseball game I watched as a 9 year old and that was big boy baseball right there.
In 1997 was the first time I watched the whole LSU baseball season and Brandon Larson was juiced lol. It felt so good to beat Bama after they beat us like 25-2 earlier in Tuscaloosa.
In 1998 we should have three peat and that first game against usc was amazing with all the homeruns in the game.
The 2000 year was the last of the dynasty in the skip Bertman era. That was the end of guerrilla ball and I will always cherish those years as a youngster.
I don’t know why but the 2009 win over Texas doesn’t stick out to me like the other ones. I did enjoy chad jones terrifying the Texas players at the plate lol.
Hopefully we can get that swag back even though it won’t be like the old days.

2017 and 2008 were pretty good years too. We don’t have to win a CWS for it to be considered a good year. My first time in Omaha was in 2008 and I had a blast. Definitely a precursor to the 09 team.

Thank you B-05 I was living in Austin in 09 what a great victory and memory to relive. Some Texas fans say that was the laST great team Augie G.had at Texas.
