And yet, if Stonewall Jackson is alive and at Gettysburg, the South likely takes the initiative on the first day of the battle, takes the high ground, and routs the Union Army. They could’ve marched straight to Washington. They damn near did it anyways.

If the Confederates seize Cemetery Hill on July 1, Meade simply orders the Union army to fall back to a stronger position near Union Mills, MD called Pipe Creek. That's where he wanted to lure Lee to in the first place.
