everyone bitches about 280 traffic - I live off 280 at Brook Highland, and I can get anywhere I want to go without actually driving on 280 at all. just have to learn to navigate int he city - once you do, it makes life a lot easier.

I live in the same area, and 280 traffic is overblown. It's really bad some days if there's a bad wreck, but most days it really isn't that bad. I'd rather drive 280 everyday than 65.
