re: Which RB2 is most likely to jump into the RB1 conversation?

I have a feeling Marlon Mack is going to be overdrafted this year. I wouldn't be surprised if Spencer Ware takes some of his touches, and he's not really a factor in the passing game. He'll likely be really game script dependent on a team that passes a lot and won't be playing an atrocious schedule like 2018.

I don't think Mack or Aaron Jones have real staying power. I expect their teams would move on from them very quickly.

I'm more optimistic about Jones than Mack. Think he's shown more in the passing game and his competition for touches is worse

Lafleur is already talking timeshare in GB
I don’t think ware is a worry. More insurance. Hines stealing the pass catching is more worrisome but I think Mack racks up rush yards and TDs if he stays healthy

Another year of that BS would be the most frustrating thing I've seen in FF.

Couldn't agree more. Ware will be there if Mack pulls his hammy again. Ware had his chance in KC to run away with the job & simply didn't shine. Hines will steal receptions, but he won't take away any carries.
Can't forget how much Irsay likes Mack. Dude has been pimping Marlon since 2017

It's not like Ware sucked last year when Hunt went down, he got injured and was then Wally Pipp'd. I think Mack is definitely still the favorite to get early down work, but there are scenarios where Ware starts to eat into his work because he's a more versatile back who doesn't give away a run or pass lean pre-play like Mack and Hines.
Not sure where he ends up going, but I probably won't pick Mack before the 4th round.

Not at all, he was still a solid play. All I mean is he didn't claim the job like he did in 2016 ( i think? )
I think you are underestimating Mack's versatility. He's not as shifty as some, but that's really the only area he's lacking. Outside of Chubb, I'd take Mack ahead of all the other 11 listed in the 12-24 range. That'd put him anywhere from 3rd - 5th round.
You bring up an interesting point about projecting play types. That's a tier above my football knowledge Wouldn't that be pretty easy to fix?

Jordan Wilkins wasnt terrible last year, but did have injury concerns. I was thinking Ware may be insurance for him?
I think Mack can actually catch the ball ok, I just think Hines really shines there.

Yes and no- you can mix it up to an extent, but you don't want to get too far away from what your guys are good at. Maybe I'm reading too much into things, but I don't think Indy is comfortable using Mack a ton if they fall behind or are in a passing down.
Every game Mack scored over 13 PPR points last season was a 14 point or more Colts win...there's a little bit of a chicken/egg thing there (I'm sure some of the scoring was done to get them the lead in the first place), but it does worry me a bit when talking about committing a 3rd rounder to a guy. Especially when Indy's schedule is projected to go from 26th hardest to 7th hardest

How much does hunt cut into chubbs production once his suspension is over??? If he stays on the team what will duke johnson cut into one or both of their touches????
I like Cleveland’s offense this year but that could be a potential backfield after week 8 that will frustrate some folks.

Something to keep in mind is that Hunt won't be back until week 10 because of the bye week.

I would be a little concerned about Parris Campbell cutting into the short passing workload.

I’m interested to see how Peterson and guice work out if guice is 100% ready by the beginning of the season.
Will Peterson start out as the primary RB and they work guice into the role and he eventually takes over by week 8-10

This is exactly how I see it playing out. AP is towards the end of his career so they'll milk him the beginning of the season. As AP starts to wear down I see Guice having enough PT, by that point, to take over the bell cow role.

Had Conner and Bell. Assuming I take Conner as my keeper for this season who do I draft in the first round?
Posted on 5/13/19 at 10:43 am to meeple
Where do you pick? Who else is being kept? Who will be available?
I agree with you keeping conner over bell. There are too many question marks regarding the offense bell will be involved in. We know Conner can ball out. The only question regarding Conner is can he maintain come week 12 on.
