I don’t think anyone is suggesting any AD is the on field leader of any particular sports team.
But good AD’s set the tone and expectations of all programs, provide resources necessary for success and have the power to hire and fire.
Further while no one suggests O or any coach is in jeopardy with Woodward as AD. Does anyone anywhere believe that if Woodward was AD when Les was let go that Orgeron would have even been considered?
Every AD knows in his soul that ultimately he will be judged on how successful the football program is.
Woodward gets it. And he will ensure LSU has leadership in the football program capable of winning championships.
If our current leadership can do it GREAT if not? Well, I trust Woodward.

The best thing Woodward can do for the football program is to force the SEC to get scheduling changed with some sense of fairness. And find a way to hold SEC game officials accountable to an unbiased panel with the authority to suspend and fire.
Casting any AD as some kind of inspirational leader is a joke. Everybody's always pissed off at the AD for one reason or another.

To be honest, everyone should be nervous, right?
New guy in the building. Different approach and strategy to how the position should function. Obviously the teams that have been underperforming should be nervous, but its a new day, so new expectations.
