Dell did what he could with the resources at hand.
Doesn’t change that he made some really bad decisions with long term repercussions that wouldn’t have changed even if the had the San Antonio or Golden State front office staff and resources supporting him.
The two fatal transactions for us were ones where Dell fell in love with a guy and wanted him regardless of fit. Those two guys would be Tyreke, which was his big choice, plus Solo, whom he had wanted for years before Indiana let him go.
