I think Dean is doing her best but she just has never been the same gymnast since her injuries. It is what it is, she is what she is at this point. She is a decent beamer but her leaps and bent knees on the series concern me. She is at least steady on that event which is more than half the battle.

I really think Kai and Alyona will push for time on beam once they get healthy though. Kai dramatically improved on beam these last two years. It will be interesting to see how these lineups come along once we get kids healthy. There are a couple of returning routines that could get edged out by the freshmen

Ferrer posted to social media that due to “personal reason” she will not be competing this season. Plans to compete next year. What is this about? I know it was mentioned she had pneumonia but is it so serious that she can’t compete or train for a long time? Or is more going on?
