The ultimate demise of the two bills (HB459 and HB600) was due to Danny Martiny running out the clock in the Senate.
That's not entirely true, Cameron Henry plays a HUGE factor into all of this. If he allows the sports betting bill to go to the House, fantasy passes easily.
Also, Karen Peterson voted against gaming in every vote she had. Being a Sen. from New Orleans and voting against fantasy is ridiculous.
At the end of the day, Cameron Henry tipped over the domino that made all of this mess and his special interest with John Georges was the downfall for both bills. Senator Martiny's political career is over, Henry will be running for Senator in 2019 and will continue his dirty political tactics. People who are blaming Martiny are not seeing the big picture on how this all played out.

May also be the most braindead person in the House. Sorry for those in Denham Springs.

There is no defending Martiny's childish actions at the end. The news reports quote him about what people did to him. It's not about him it's about the people of Louisiana. That's the real problem, an entitled politician saying if he doesn't get his way he is going to mess up something for everyone else.
