A fine point that idiots can't seem to grasp.
Pretty sure most of the higher ups had treason charges pinned to them. However, since Grant wanted the nation to "heal" he persuaded Johnson to have the charges dropped.
Lee did lose his right to vote and his family home, the Curtis-Lee Mansion and property was seized and turned into Arlington National Cemetery.
