Was just announced that ESPN+ won the rights to air the US Open Cup starting this season through 2022. Every match from the first round through the final will be on ESPN+. D2 teams enter in the 2nd round, MLS teams enter in the 4th round.

USSF needs to put more behind this and incentivize MLS to take this competition more seriously especially considering MLS would kill it if they could.

I'm hoping the upcoming CBA raises the price that the players get for US Open.

With Serie A and MLS, ESPN+ is a steal compared to the old (maybe current?) Fox Soccer Plus (or whatever their streaming service was called)

Also has the English Championship, USL Championship/League One, some Scandinavian leagues, some Asian Leagues, Copa America, FA Cup, etc.

Looking at Fox Soccer Match Pass, they’re still charging fricking $19.99/month for the Bundesliga, rugby, Australian rules, and the one MLS game they have rights to a week
Good on Fox for figuring out how to monetize ESPN’s early 2000s late night lineup, I guess

How is the streaming on espn+
I find soccer to be maybe the most choppy sport I watch even with high speed internet, especially on the nbc app. It’s not bad on phone or computer but on my newer TV it’s less than ideal since I cut the chord.

I think it's been pretty good.

No issues for me except for a few USL matches but I think that was the fault of the feed the team had.

And you can get it even cheaper for a year long subscription instead of per month.
