I don't think ya'll understand exactly what travel ball has become. A kid doesn't have to be exceptionally talented to play AA baseball. Just slightly above the rec kids who stare at the sky the whole time they are on the field because their parents forced them to play. Also, there is really no need to pay a lot or travel very far.

Mine stares at the sky the whole time and he asked me to play, lol I never forced him to.
Granted it’s only his second year and now his 1st year of coach pitch. He didn’t start playing till he was 6. We won’t do travel ball but it’s b/c I just can’t get off work that much and don’t have that kind of money. If I did and my son wanted to I would, but unless he wants to work a part time job at 11, and playing travel ball, it ain’t happening.
