Kofi winning does more than a triple h vs. Batista match that no one asked for (we all know Triple H will get a W because he needs to fuel his ego) or an Angle retirement match that will be quick and pointless and 5 years too late.

WrestleMania is about moments. Neither of those matches creates a moment. Even if Cena does show up for the match, it’s not THAT intriguing. Kofi winning after grinding for over a decade and having this organic push out of nowhere is something WWE has. How many times over the last decade has WWE had a superstar go flaming hot for a couple of months and done absolutely nothing with them?

I’m not saying they should make Kofi the franchise, but would having him as champ for a month or two be the worst thing? No.

YEa I don’t think Kofi winning is some imperative event but I don’t really see a reason it shouldn’t happen. Give him the belt, get a nice pop, and see what happens down the road
