I watched a multi-part WWII documentary recently that added sound to otherwise silent films for the first time throughout the whole series and it was great. They weren't just scenes where one guy was the focus and he was talking or something, they did it with massive battle scenes, troop movement scenes, mechanized corps, and everything.
It was probably the best WWII doc I've seen other than "World War 2 in HD colour" that was kinda the same concept except they colorized black and white film by hand.

I think I saw the first one I mentioned (with the added audio) on Prime Video, am trying to find it currently
