Look into the comedy festival. Might be in July. Surprisingly had a fun time at a CFL game as well.

I prefer Quebec as it’s so small & compact and the folks who live and work there are a bit more focused on tourism & hospitality.
Both are worth visiting. Arguably much more to do & see in Montreal.
