In short, Alleva has a history.
Duke Lacrosse was an administrative atrocity. Alleva jumped the gun immediately, just as he has here. He was horribly wrong to do so. He sullied Duke students and employees in the process. The ultimate result was millions of dollars in lawsuits paid out by the university (rumors hold the confidential settlement at $70million or so), waves of campus protests, destruction of a national championship athletic team its coach and players, and even a precipitous drop of Duke's USNews College Ranking due to a decline in peer evaluations.

A little event like that would be something most folks would learn from.

Yet Alleva continues to act first, think later, then spastically try to cover for his stupidity. We didn't get played by Jimbo. Right? We didn't get played by Herman. Right? Orgeron was the target of our search all along. Right? We didn't get completely owned by the UF AD during the hurricane bullshite. Right? It all went perfectly according to plan according to Joe. Right?

Alleva is an imbecile. In retracing his past catastrophic mistakes, he's made it clear he is a negligent imbecile.
He should have been fired this weekend. He should be fired now.
