I love Les, but what qualities does he possess that would make him a strong AD?

He's very likeable and entertaining. He would do a great job traveling the state, plus cities like Atlanta and Houston with a lot of alumni, and getting people to turn out for fundraising events.

The administrative/nuts and bolts tasks could go to behind the scenes employees.

Of course, it would have worked better a year ago when the new job would have voided his buyout. (Instead of settling for $1.5 million.)

I want Les as AD to happen, but I often wonder that myself. Best answer I come to is he is a sports guy vs a bureaucrat. With this whole Wade thing, I think Alleva responded like any bureaucrat administrator would have....Les would have taken a second to put himself in the coaches shoes and supported him from that angle...which would have been nice.

Also, all the changes to gameday/tailgating experience have been very corporate and bureaucratic.... I feel like a guy like less would say frick this stiff corporate bullshite like paid spots and sponsored tailgate parties..let the beautiful chaos reign.

None whatsoever.

Are we so desperate that we would consider putting a man who eats grass and can't manage timeouts during a game in charge of a multi-million dollar athletic department? Please God, never let this happen.
