We see tons of legal immigrant workers who have to undergo treatment for latent TB when they begin work in the hospital, because it was missed when they immigrated.

Additionally, no test is perfect. There's a thing called a false negative.

Also, not terribly difficult to pick up latent TB when any US citizen visits a country with endemic TB.

So, what aside from racism makes you think it's illegal immigrants?
