Hey Catholics, serious questions:

What if you die during your debauchery? Do you go to Hell?

If you see how much you can sin in order to get closer to God, wouldn’t you at some point stop sinning so heinously because you’ve gotten close enough to God that you don’t want to anymore? And along those lines, how come priests still engage in the debauchery (and worse)?

Bonus: when you confess to a priest and that priest turns out to be a pedo or evil, does that mean the priests forgiveness of your sins is defunct and anyone who has confessed to that priest hasn’t been actually forgiven and if they die without reconfessing to a legit priest, does that person go Hell?

At some point you can either have faith in a god and take comfort in there ceremonial.

Or

Go wait a minute... When you realize priest hand out general absolutions before boys go out and kill someone on patrol.

Or you realize that Yahweh started as a War god anyway. So who the frick knows.
