I think a lot of people are turned off by the intellectual high ground that baseball fans take. They are basically the hipsters of sports. Face it, just because baseball is boring as frick does not make you any more intelligent.
Average sold out football stadium vs average sold out baseball stadium, which one do you think has the smarter attendees?

Baseball without a doubt. But that doesn’t mean that everyone who dislikes baseball is a mouth breather. It’s a boring sport
Edit: ok hold on, I feel like this argument can go in circles forever if I don’t say this. I was bandwagon as frick in 2009 I believe for LSU baseball. I gave baseball a chance because we were really good, and I actually ended up enjoying the sport way more than I thought I would. After that season, I never really went back to it, but I feel like, with most sports the more you understand and the more you watch, the better it is, and if I kept watching baseball I definitely would still like it.
With that said, there are a ton of dumb arse red neck football fans, mostly because it’s violent and easy to get into. But that doesn’t mean that there aren’t people who understand the game of football, who see it as the chess match that it is, who are completely capable of understanding baseball, yet they choose not to because they find it particularly boring.
