Fair point but still don't think it's worth not playing an entire game because of it. Most likely the scenario you mentioned doesn't happen too often.

Even the settings thing is minor. There is a notepad file most likely with your settings that the game reads. You can just carry that with you on a flash thumb drive. It's a little inconvenient but you should only have to do it once on the computer.
