Spent plenty of time there over the years and never liked it.
The past few weeks I’ve had to pass through from Houston to Lafayette. It’s awful. A few reasons I don’t like it are the bars and restaurants are crap, there’s a lot of ran down places with a few decent areas mixed in, and lot of ghetto & rough people all over. It’s really does remind me of Alexandria or Monroe with more people and jobs.

south lake charles is really, really nice with very few "ran down" places. we have 2 country clubs in SLC
