LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - DOTD has confirmed that a photo of a large crack in the I-10 bridge making the rounds on social media is fake.
Tammy York with DOTD says, “I spoke with the lead bridge inspector and there’s no crack on the I-10 Calcasieu River Bridge like the one in that photo.”
KPLC sent a reporter down to the scene earlier today and took a photo of the bridge which we compared to the fake version below.

Key phrase here.
Those supports are cracked and crumbling at the base.
I moved out of the area, but I’ve got no qualms about driving over it. It it just so happens to give out while I’m on it, then it’s just my time.
