The difference in a second round and third round pick isn't all that much in guaranteed money.

Pretty fair amount actually.

Middle of the 2nd round in 2016 had a signing bonus of around $1.5MM. Beckwith's bonus for signing in the 3rd was about $750k. He prob lost, at most, a million dollars in guaranteed money.

Umm, that's a lot.

And teams will be more leery of signing him to long term contracts because of injury history.

In terms of financial and professional career success, Devin White has absolutely nothing to gain by coming back and A WHOLE LOT to lose.

$750k isn't that much actually. And your statement painted it as millions, as in multiple millions of dollars.
Just be honest, you thought the signing bonuses were bigger in the second round than they actually are/were

never argued otherwise. Some people make decisions for reasons other than money, however. If White decides to stay, that's what he will be doing. I'm sure he's plenty aware of the risks involved unless he's been living under a rock.
