Welcome to the MTV board. Where everything is the GOAT or the worst shite ever with zero grey area.
Don't forget, everything is either overrated or underrated too.
Like Chris Evans is some sort of Brando.
I love these films and will see Captain Marvel at the 21+ VIP seating theater opening weekend, like I have for most of the rest, but we shouldn't pretend these films are anything other than what they were created to be, and that is spectacle. It's not high art, it's mass market entertainment, and it works. I expect to see CM in the theater, buy the eventually Blu-Ray release (probably in 3D steel book from Zaavi) and rewatch it many times.

No, he's not Brando, but he speaks like a fricking hero. Evangeline Lilly speaks like a hero. Even the heroes' girlfriends, Portman, Paltrow, Atwell, speak like adult women with some amount of power.
Johansson is boring as paste, but at least she attempts to enunciate her lines.
Larson sounds like a teenager who "can't even".
We're not asking for Lawrence of Arabia level acting. Just superheroes who don't sound ridiculous when they open their mouths.
