You cannot hide nuclear explosions on this planet, especially above ground. The last above ground test was 1980.
They really have no proven evidence of this much bang at this height to cover this much area.
EMP attack is a bull shite fearmonger tactic. EMP as a by-product of a nuclear attack is legit. However the bigger issue there is the fact a nuclear bomb just wasted a city.
